MUSIC MINISTRY
What are the benefits from participating in our music ministry?
  • Use God's great gift of music to help yourself and others worship God.

  • Be part of a diverse and friendly community of musicians.

  • Improve your music skills
Singing and ringing are recreational -- participants often leave rehearsals with a song in their heart and a spring in their step.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
A NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR PARENTS WITH MIDDLE SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN (grades 6, 7, & 8).
Many of today's activities involve parents supporting their children by driving them to and from practices and lessons, and then watching them participated in a realted event. Very few are available for parents and children to be partners in the same activity.

We are starting a new hanbell choir specifically geared for a parent (or other important adult in a child's life) and child to be in the same activity. No ringing experience is necessary. Everyone who is new to ringing will learn together. We will also teach you the music reading skills necessary to ring handbell music.

Once the ensemble is ringing accurately and musically, we will ring during worship or other venues that the group may decide upon. In order for this to happen, we need a minimum of 4 child/parent-adult pairs (8 ringers) to be able to agree upon a rehearsal time. The group will rehearse between 45-60 minutes per week. If there are more than 7 pairs interested, we will start 2 groups.

There will be a short informational meeting after 10:30 worship on Sunday, Sept. 14. If you plan on attending the meeting to learn more about this opportunity, sign up at the kiosk. If you need more information, please call the church office, 946-5680.
