#6 – LAW AND GRACE

READ: Exodus 16, 17, 20. Numbers
20:1-13. Joshua 1-3, ch. 5:13-15 and ch. 6.
PREPARE: The Confirmation Class will present skits or videos for discussion at CORE on Wednesday, Dec. 13. You may work individually or in groups, but much of your preparation for this homework assignment will need to be done outside of class. Based on the commandment you’ve been assigned - or several commandments if you are working in a group - prepare a skit, several skits, or a video presentation that illustrates what you think the commandment means, how that meaning applies in today’s culture, and the consequences of breaking that commandment in our lives today. Also prepare a few questions to encourage discussion after your presentation.
IF YOU DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE PRESENTATION AT THE DEC. 13 CORE, YOU WILL HAVE TO WRITE A PAPER DEVOTING 1-2 PARAGRAPHS (50 WORDS OR MORE) TO EACH OF THE 10 COMMANDMENTS, DISCUSSING WHAT YOU THINK EACH COMMANDMENT MEANS, HOW THAT MEANING APPLIES IN TODAY’S CULTURE, AND THE CONSEQUENCES OF BREAKING THAT COMMANDMENT IN OUR LIVES TODAY.
