EXPERIENCING CHRIST’S LOVE
One of our goals is to grow in a nurturing and caring relationship with one another. Some of our programs which help with this are:
 

CONGREGATIONAL CARE

PASTORAL CARE

OUR ENTIRE STAFF IS AVAILABLE FOR PASTORAL CARE AND SUPPORT. You may contact them directly or call the church office.

CLERGY AND TRAINED LAYPERSONS VISIT PATIENTS AT MUNSON MEDICAL CENTER EACH DAY. Call the church office to let us know if you or a loved one is hospitalized, so we can provide pastoral visitation and care.

PRAYER

MANY OF OUR MEMBERS AND STAFF PRAY EVERY DAY FOR THE CONCERNS OF THE CONGREGATION. If you would like to have a special concern remembered in prayer, contact the church office.

OUR PRAYER ROOM, LOCATED JUST OFF THE SANCTUARY IS AVAILABLE BEFORE OR AFTER SUNDAY SERVICES OR DURING THE WEEK FOR A QUIET PLACE TO PRAY. Feel free to stop by the office and ask one of the staff to pray with you, if you'd like.

DEACON MINISTRIES

STEPHEN MINISTRY. Laypersons who have completed intensive training in caring ministry offer support and encouragement to persons experiencing a wide range of life needs or crises.

HOSPITAL MINISTRY. Trained laypersons visit the sick at Munson Medical Center.

FRIEND TO FRIEND MINISTRY. Trained laypersons visit members and friends who are homebound or in retirement or health care facilities.

SECRET SAINTS (Post-High School Ministry)

TLC MINISTRY. (Meals and other nurturing care in crisis)

TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY. Providing rides to worship services for those without other transportation.

SUPPORT GROUPS MEETING AT OUR CHURCH

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS. (Two groups: M,W, F at noon; Thursday at 7pm)

SHARING CHRIST'S LOVE
One of our goals is to share the love of Christ with others. Some of the ways we do this are:

LOVE FOR CHILDREN
A ministry of our congregation to the children and families of the Traverse City WIC and HeadStart programs.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Our congregation has committed itself to helping build one Habitat house a year. So far, we have completed five homes, three of which were built in partnership with other churches.

CROP WALK
Each year, our congregation participates in the local Crop Walk, a mission of Church World Service. The monies raised are used for world relief projects.

COMMUNITY MEALS PROGRAM
We regularly participate in serving meals in this ecumenical project.

A General Assembly offering for world wide mission and relief.

CHRISTMAS JOY OFFERING:
A General Assembly offering for supplemental pensions for missionaries and for racial ethnic schools operated by the Presbyterian Church USA.

THANKSGIVING OFFERING:
A local offering used by the Board of Deacons for emergency relief in the Grand Traverse area.

LOOSE CHANGE OFFERING:
A local offering directed to local food pantries.

WOMEN’S THANK OFFERING:
An offering of the National Presbyterian Women for mission projects.
