Love for Children Director - Email Barbara Kort I am Barbara Kort, Program Director of Love For Children, a local mission outreach of the Presbyterian Church of Traverse City. I joined the church staff in 2006, as LFC Assistant and became Program Director in the fall of 2008. I believe in our mission "to mobilize the church to assist at-risk children and their families" in our community, and truly consider it a privilege to serve as the Program Director of Love For Children. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Hope College, and have enjoyed over 30 years of lay ministry outreach in various ecumenical settings in worship leading, prison ministry, sacred dance, worship arts, and short-term missions in Michigan, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Mexico, and the West Indies. My first 20 years in northern Michigan were spent managing our family law practice and raising my three beautiful children in Traverse City, our hometown since 1984. I love to worship. When I have to, I do other things like songwriting on guitar or piano, singing, reading, writing, and web design. I enjoy time with family and friends, watching a fire, and coffee downtown at Amical.
